Good afternoon all,
I hope you and your families are well.
I would like to start by saying thank you for your wonderful support in making the start to the new academic year a successful one. Our Year 7 & Year 12 students seem to have settled in well at Plantsbrook and made the transition relatively smoothly. The adoption of new rules regarding mobile phones and digital devices, as well as tightening up on punctuality and detentions have been observed diligently by the vast majority of our students. It has been refreshing to see them interacting at breaks and lunches without the unnecessary distraction digital technology creates.
Our recent Open Evening was a great success and it was pleasing to see some of you there too. Our students played a pivotal role in that success and I have to say how proud I was of their fantastic contributions. I must also thank those of you who completed our recent parent survey, we are currently collating the information collected and will respond to some of your comments in due course.
I want to start that process by responding directly to one of the questions. On our website you will find the curriculum overview with specific pages for each of our subject areas. This provides an overview of the topics and content that your child will study during the year. Hopefully you will find the learning journeys of particular interest.
May I also take this opportunity to remind you of the Arbor parent app if you are yet to download and make use of it. This will keep you updated on important information related to your child.
I wish you a restful and relaxing weekend.
Kind regards,
Mr J Farr
