How to Get to the Bar Conference with St Phillips Law Chambers
Saturday 30th November 9.30am-3pm
For students in years 12 and 13 interested in studying Law
Organised jointly by Aston University and St Philips Chambers, the ‘How to get to the Bar Conference’ is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring lawyers to get up close to legal professionals and experience what the job is really like. The day is based at St Philips Chambers in Birmingham and is open to Year 12 and 13 students who are interested in studying Law at University and want to find out more about the profession. The day will include, amongst other things, insight into how create a strong application to study law, as well as give the students an opportunity to engage with practicing barristers with a Q&A session.

YEAR 12 TECHNOLOGY INSIGHT DAY
Monday 4 November – University of Birmingham – 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Attendee Requirements: This Masterclass Insight Day is suitable for Year 12 students with an interest in this area of study and work.
About: This Technology Insight Day delivered in partnership with PwC will be an engaging, interactive and fun session, giving students the chance to develop a range of personal and professional skills as well as gaining confidence, getting an insight into careers and the applications of technology.
After a morning at the University of Birmingham giving insight into the technology-based courses we offer, including a spotlight on our Computer Science Degree Apprenticeship, students will head over to the PwC Regional Office in Birmingham City Centre. There, they will have lunch provided, meet current staff and take part in an interactive workshop focused on emerging technologies (such as VR, drones and 3-D Printing) and their applications in the real world.
