How to apply for Year 7 in September 2024

When open, an application must be made online using this link http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/school-admissions or by using a Local Authority Preference Form.

Appeals for Plantsbrook School are administered by the Local Authority. Parents who wish to appeal against the decision to refuse their child admission should go to  https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/info/20119/school_admissions/207/appeal_against_a_decision_to_refuse_your_child_a_school_place  to find further guidance and an appeal form.

Appeals will be heard by an independent panel.

How to apply for an in-year school place

If you are looking to transfer your child to Plantsbrook School, please complete and return the in-year application form which can be found here:

 https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/downloads/download/438/application_for_a_change_of_school_in-year

You can return this by:

• Post
• Hand-delivered to Main Reception
• By email (enquiry@plantsbrookschool.co.uk)

This would need to be returned to Plantsbrook School with proof of address, either:

1. Council Tax form
2. Utility Bill (less than 6 months old)

Please also provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
