Attendance
Plantsbrook School is committed to maximising the attendance of every student during their education so that they can be the best that they can be. Regular attendance at school is linked to success in all aspects of school life.
We work with Instill Excellence Ltd to support the day-to-day objectives of raising overall attendance levels and reducing persistent absenteeism. All attendance advice provided by Instill Excellence Ltd will be from an experienced consultant who will provide professional and comprehensive casework advice. The scope of the Attendance Consultancy service includes telephone communication and home visits to complete safe and well checks with pupils and families.
Parents who are concerned about their child’s attendance should contact school to tell them about the difficulties.
ABSENCES, LATES and MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS
It is important that you contact the school on every day that your child is absent.
Years 7 – 11 If you need to report an absence, medical appointment or late attendance please call the school on 0121 362 7310 before 9:30am and press option 9. Alternatively you can email l.grealish@plantsbrookschool.co.uk
Year 12 & 13 (Sixth Form) If you need to report an absence, medical appointment or late attendance for your child please call 0121 362 7310 and press option 4 or email pbsixthform@plantsbrookschool.co.uk
Plantsbrook School do not authorise absences for family holidays during term time. A referral to the local authority legal intervention team may be considered if you choose to take your child out of school during term time for this reason
