‘My World’ Writing Competition winners

The winners and runners up have been announced for our school-wide ‘My World’ writing competition.

Students were asked to give glimpses into their unique worlds to celebrate creativity and imagination. With winners being selected across Year 7 to 9 and by all subjects.

Mrs Dorman who helped organise the contest said:

“The winning pieces were amazing, offering profound insights and transporting readers to their worlds. These young writers captivated us with their vivid descriptions, compelling narratives and thought-provoking perspectives. Their words highlight the power of storytelling.

Congratulations to all our winners and runners-up for their dedication and passion for writing. Your voices have enriched our school community and will continue to inspire other students as your writing will be published in an anthology that is available to read in the LRC.”

Prizes included a £10 Love2shop voucher, a queue jump ticket for the canteen and an assortment of  pens, highlighters and even some chocolate.

The full list of winners and runners up will be available in the next newsletter to parents and carers.
